martes

Dad is so kind, waiting every morning for me to wake up so we can eat breakfast together. We have another wonderful breakfast of Honey Bunches of Oats con Almendras y leche. We are running low on breakfast supplies so we will probably have to stop at the supermercado after dinner. We get ready to go downstairs to the cafe to order coffee and hot chocolate. So far the wind does not look promising.

We decide to go paddle boarding in hopes that when we are out on the water, the wind will decide to come out. Dad and I are on a mission to go paddle boarding with whales! As we were getting ready, I saw spray from a blowhole. We race out to see in order to be there in case of any whale sighting. Searching and paddling with intent to see a huge whale, yet we see nothing but water. We head over where the motorhomes and tents are located on the beach to get some pictures.

We arrive back at the beach and decide to go on a snorkeling adventure. According to Ian, there is a nice spot not too far away from us. Before we leave town, we stop at El Viejo for some lunch. Dad ordered pescado chip (fish and chips) and I ordered shrimp tacos. The food was delicious and enough to fuel us for our journey.

The road to the snorkeling site was terrible! It was not a paved road, there were lots of rocks, and hills to drive up and down. Our Jetta was not made to go through this tough terrain but somehow it managed! We arrived on the beach probably an hour later to a beautiful spot. There were large rocks to swim around and lots of fish. The water was very refreshing on this hot sunny day. We took pictures and some video of all the fish. There were so many! Schools and schools of fish and many that looked like they were off the set of Finding Nemo.

After our swim, we dried off on the beach. We drove over to a nearby hotel to drink beer and Shirley Temples. Mine was so good that I had two! We began our journey back to the casita and saw lots of cows on the dirt road. Dad said I could chase after them but I thought they looked too big to run. I was wrong. The cattle started running once I got too close to them and I chased them onto the beach.

It took us about 50 minutes to get back to the casita and once we were back we decided to relax a little before dinner. We ate a plum, FaceTimed Mom, and then went to dinner at Campestre Triny. We had an appetizer of chips and salsa (the salsa was tasty), Pacifico Beer and Mango Margarita, a Mexican Platter (I forgot the official name but there was rice, quesadillas, guacamole, a pepper covered in something, and steak) that Dad ate and I got the Shrimp Burger which was scrumptious! There was live music playing the whole time we were eating and it was nice. This was also the first restaurant that we ate inside (the doors were still open so it didn't feel like we were completely inside). We headed back to the room, where I showered and then we watched two episodes of How I Met Your Mother.

Hopefully the wind will be back tomorrow!!
